Getting Better All the Time!

Good Morning!
Midgie said mom had a good night last night. Is controlling her pain with Tylenol. Is awake doing the crossword puzzle and isn't dozing!! Great progress-more alert than she's been since surgery!
We have a call in to the dr for a few questions-itching, pt apt, drowsiness (which may not be an issue-I'll keep an eye on that today), etc. Looks like the meds may have been the issue.
Will update you all later!
Love to all-
Mel

  1. Thanks for all the updates. It really helps to know that Mom and Dad are being so well taken care of by you all. We so appreciate it!

    Lots of love, Marcia

  2. Pat has been with mom today and she is getting better and better by the day. She's still having some nausea but may just be because she needs to get her tummy back in order. She hadn't had much of an appetite and hasn't eaten much. Dad made her favorite dinner last night and she ate the entire plate of creamed chicken on toast (not sure of the portion size though). She is happy to be off the pain med and said she didn't know how people could like that feeling when they are on those meds all the time. If she needs something stornger than tylenol, there is a prescription waiting for her at her pharmacy for vicodin, however, this doesn't look like the case since she hasn't even needed tylenol today. Pat has been getting her up to walk throughout the day today, ate a late breakfast and was able to keep it down, walked around the house a couple of times, the pain in leg is gone and her incision is pain free. She looked out the windows and checked out her yard for the first time and sounds much livelier than she has since the surgery. She is even asking if she can get rid of her walker now! We aren't recommending that this will happen very soon though. We should be able to tell when she's ready to give it up. Her follow up appointment with the surgeon is on Dec 21 so she should be feeling great by then.
